Mutilate builds don't benefit from ArP as much as combat builds because IP+DP+Envenom usually amounts to 50% of total damage. So ArP buffs our DPS, but not as much as the other stats (agi/AP/haste/hit...) because it only affects half our damage. So yes, it is possible that a piece of gear sporting a crapload of ArP will come as an upgrade, but it certainly won't be as good an upgrade as an equivalent ArP-less piece of gear, because the points budgeted to ArP would have served us better allocated to another stat.
Now, the tricky question is when a piece with a lot of ArP on it is an upgrade, because other classes (or combat rogues) benefit much more from ArP. The best thing you can do is grab a spreadsheet, figure out which pieces are really large upgrades, and which pieces would serve your raid better if they went to another player (for example, I handed over Taldaram's soft slippers to a hunter because they were only a 2.8dps increase to me).
So take a bit of time, check out the gear available to you (half the T.10 has ArP on it, half doesn't, and the ICC10/25 gear is pretty well spread out too, so you should be able to set up an ArP-less gearset), and use a spreadsheet to determine what you need to change quickest.
P.S.: whatever you do, don't buy the T.10 gloves/legs. Toravon should be here any week now, so don't waste emblems on pieces you could get for free in a PUG. _________________ Curufinwë, Level 80 Night-Elf Rogue.
