|
|
Hello everyone! I got some questions i want confirmed so i'm realy sure of what i'm doing.
First of all i've heard that some people says that i should have 5%HITCAP for PVP. And i got like 5,50%. Should i have more or less?
Second question are about my gear. And i think that depends allot on my Arena setup. In Arena i play 3v3 with Disc-Priest ~ Feral-druid and Me.
And i wonder whats best to go after? resiliance gear or PVE burst gear?
i got now like 550 resiliance when i use my best pve gear to boost my burst.
Or should i get more pvp gear to get more resiliance`? ive notice that i die much eaisyer with 550 resiliance but i do much better DPS.
My specc for this setup are 41/5/25. Someone might know any better for me?
IF someone plays same setup as me please come with some advices or some trixs, it would be realy help full! |

5% or 164 rating is recommended in arena.
If your technique for your 3s is to open with the druid to force a focus and you come in; I would go PVE heavy (esp if you have access to top gear).
TBH if I had access to raid gear I would probably float around 500 myself. _________________

I'm going to leave most of the talking to our more pvp centric rogues. That said, Mogesh already pointed you to the pvp special hit cap. It's not critical you stay above it but it's recommended. A missed Kick, Blind, Gouge can really cost you a game and it doesn't hurt you to stay aware of keeping yourself at 164+ hit rating.
As for resilience, I have to say I'm in the camp where you want as much as you can from the gear itself. I wouldn't socket for it, but you do want to get updated pvp gear as fast as you can. Start farming honor and picking up pieces. It'll be slow going but it should pay off. The only arena team I'm active on is a 3's team where I am being clearly carried by a prot warrior and a resto druid. Even there, where the strategy is for me to wait it out and pick a tide-turning moment to pop out of stealth and attack, I'm incented to wear resilience. We're far too fragile compared to other classes, and every little bit helps.
Nobody thinks much about resilience until the first time they're globaled.

I was investigating about the hit cap as well.
It's 5% basically, but you need to add:
- 2% against night elves
- 5% against mages (arctic winds)
On top of this, keep in mind that your blind, being considered a ranged ability, also suffers an additional:
- 2% against most rogue (highened senses)
- 25% against rogues in evasion
There could be other classes' abilities involved, but I don't know them in case.
Ah, and remember that if you ever met a plate in arena who is geared as tank (with +defense rating stats) you even need more hit. For the classic 540 defense rating, it's an added 5% to hit needed. |

Agility and Attack power are more or less equal, but AP is preferred generally for arena.
Armor penetration with the recent nerf is probabily not worth it, especially if you decide to go for 44/2/25 or 41/4/22 instead of the usual 41/5/25
In case you didn't know, the above two specs consist of taking 3 points among Dual wield specialization or/and heightened senses and put them in master poisoner, and using a fast offhand with deadly poison on it, and envenom instead of eviscerate. The result is more time to build up damage on a target, but incredible burst with up to 6k 7k envenom crits on plates. You also get reduced poison duration on you and dispel protection for your wound and crippling poisons. |

At low end arena PVE gear may be good, but any high end arena you are going to the first target to kill. Having the druid open first is a good idea, but like I said any good team is going to switch to you. I would go full pvp gear. For trinkets use the WG one with the AP(forget what its called) and the AP Battle Masters Trinket. For gems I would gem all AP but the legs. I would use +10 stats for the blue shocket in your legs. This will give you the +6 agi bonus and activate your meta. _________________ http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Malygos&n=D%C3%A4rius
