Just a quick thread to get discussion going. What Glyphs do you use on your Rogue, for what spec, and why? Also what is your favorite Glyph for any class?
My current favorite is the Druid one that takes away the reagent from the combat rez.
I am currently unglyphed ... though my account is now active instead of in trial mode. Let the leveling begin! |

I've been absolutely adoring the Ambush glyph, though some may not see it as much use. It's a lot of help in certain quests where the one guy you have to kill is surrounded by a bunch of underlings, and it allows me access to them without killing the entire bunch of underlings.
And I don't know why, but almost everytime I open up with Ambush now I get a massive crit, and pretty much 35~50% of the mob's health is gone. Amb, Mut, Evis = dead mob. Hella quick _________________ Click Sig for Armory

Preparation Glyph for PvP. Two Dismantles against DK's/Warriors/Rogues is hot, hot, hot.
Blurred Speed is my favorite minor glyph. No more swimming! Just sprint across. _________________

For Minors, I roll Vanish, Blurred Speed, Safe Fall.
Majors are spec and PvE/PvP dependent, yes I reglyph on every respec :/
And I respec a LOT. _________________ How much energy costs the Sinister Strike?

Yeah, same here... and I absolute hate myself when (usually after the first pull) I notice that I forgot to reglyph. /sigh _________________

As far as "favorites" are concerned... I kinda like the SS Glyph, especially on those crit-buffed fights. Almost feels like Sealed Fate.... almost. _________________

Minors: Safe Fall, Blurred Speed, Pick Pocket (odd perhaps, but I love the extra range)
Majors: It's a tough call for finishing up leveling as Mut. Have to agree with Ashura, I love the Ambush glyph, and Vigor I find is great for grinding/questing and the like. I can keep HfB up, open up strong, and burn any mob down without having to worry too much about energy drain. _________________ A Rogue's Tale - Rogue Blog

The only relevant minors are Vanish and Distract. The rest are aesthetic and I like blurred speed over safe fall, but it's thisway-thatway.
For PvP Evisc and Vigor are mandatory (swap vigor for hemo if you're shs). The last is either prep or evasion, depending on your setup. If you blow up warriors a lot, get prep. if you find yourself focused a bit, get evasion.
For PvE, rupture. _________________

I was using sap from about 70-75, it was very nice. I could sap mob 1, open on 2, blind 3, and have 2 and 3 done before sap was over on 1. It made a huge difference considering I was going after like and higher lvl mobs.

Vigor is my favorite for rogue, hands down. Glyph of Vigor + Vigor Talent + 4-pc Gladiator = 130 energy. mmmm Glyph of Blurred Speed is great for battlegrounds with water like AB or Strand. In strand I like to jump off the boat early and sprint across to the vehicle on the beach. It's also good in AB where if you're running for your life, you can sprint over the lake and lose the people chasing you fairly easy. You can also sprint between stables and blacksmith and get to/from them faster than anyone.
For my resto druid I like Glyph of Swiftmend. It was always such a pain to re-apply HoT after blowing swiftmend. In fact even with the glyph I still sometimes do it as a habit. Glyph of Thorns, the one hour self-cast of thorns is also handy.
While I know they can be beneficial, in general I don't like most glyphs that both improve and nerf an ability. For example Glyph of Healing Touch for druids... decreases cast time by 1.5 seconds, mana cost by 25%, and the amount healed by 50%. Or Glyph of Ghostly Strike where damage and duration are increased but so is the cooldown. |

Happy news I'm sure most have heard:
When Dual Specs go into effect, glyphs will transfer between the specs.
Yes, that means when you set up Spec 1 with Glyph Set 1, and Spec 2 with Glyph Set 2, swapping between specs will also swap glyphs.
Also, it will change automatically your hotbar settings.
Spec swap will happen at a Lexicon of Power, stationary in a Cap city, OR a summoned one done by scribes as a ritual, so you could swap in raid (out of combat).
Aside from throwing in experimental specs, we won't have to reglyph between specs which I'm excited about to say the least.
Comes straight from Ghostcrawler too btw. _________________ A Rogue's Tale - Rogue Blog

Very good news indeed. I'm mostly excited about how much gold this will save me. Since I do the pvp dailies in pvp spec and raid 3 times a week. _________________

Lol, yeah I can imagine the frustration there.
Ril,
That's good news, the glyph carry-over is awesome although I'm sure it doesn't make the inscriptionists any happier! _________________

I wouldn't imagine them being too happy either... for retribution I'm sure they will jack prices through the roof so when you do a little bit of experimenting it'll cost ya
Scribes here, don't get any ideas!
Though they can certainly charge a premium for the "on location" lexicon summoning scrolls. Raiding guilds will buy them in droves when they realize how incredible a mid raid respec could be. _________________ A Rogue's Tale - Rogue Blog
